O Sahib-i-Ruh mera,

O Master of my spirit,

Yar-i-Rah mera,

My friend on the journey,

ShahenShah-i-Dil mera,

Ruler of my heart,

Dekha do mujhe

Show me

Dekha de mera Tur kidar hai ,

Show me where my Mount Tur is,

Tur pe mein milloo Tujhe,

On Mount Tur I will meet You,

Nur mera,

My light,

O Adored One, this lover craves unity with You,

O Beloved, I yearn to be one with You,

Master of my soul, let me be lost in You,

You are the master of my spirit, let me dissolve in You,

Like sugar that whirls in hot coffee,

Like sugar dissolving in hot coffee,

And livens the soul,

Reviving the spirit,

Let me whirl and whirl and whirl,

Let me spin and spin,

Destroy myself,

Engulf myself in You,

Merge into You,

This Love slowly kills me,

This Love slowly consumes me,

Yet like a drunken Majnoun, I thirst for more,

Yet like a drunken lover, I desire more,

You’re the light that shines through the Universe,

You are the light of the Universe,

You’re the energy in my bones which powers me,

You are the energy in my bones,

Inebriated from the Wine of Love, I speak drunken words,

Drunk on the Wine of Love, I speak foolish words,

Yet my every thought, my every aim is You,

O Divine Light,

Shine Yourself onto me,

Shine on me,

Let me feel my self fall apart, become dust

What is the purpose of life,

Bandagi ke ilava,

Besides servitude,

Tu na hoy zindagi mein,

Mein kis ke sayah mein penah leta?,

Under whose shadow do I seek refuge?,

Tujhse badi cheez kya hai?,

What is greater than You?,

Tere haaton mein to pura qaynat hai,

The entire universe is in Your hands,

Har zerre Tere hukam-o-nizam par chalta hai,

Every particle follows Your command,

Mein to bas aik Sokhanvar hoon,

I am just a poet,

Mere sokhan bhi teri shan hai,

My words too are Your glory,

Dunya wale chotti motti sharabon pite hain zauq ke liye,

Worldly people drink small wines for pleasure,

Par Tere ashiqan bas Tere ishq pe hote hai mast,

But Your lovers are intoxicated only by Your love,

You showed Moses Majesty,

Apne Habib ko dekhaya Tune Karam

You showed Your Beloved Mercy,

Dono bane Tere khidhmat ke bande,

Both became Your servants,

Jis Nur ke sat unko nawasa tha hamein bhi nawaas zara,

The Light You bestowed upon them, bestow upon us,

Jese Rumi, Mansour, Jilani ko rakha tha,

As You kept Rumi, Mansour, Jilani,

Wese hi hume rakh Tere pas zara,

Keep us close to You,

When The Adored, my only True Friend is present,

When the Beloved, my only True Friend is present,

When His Nur hits and shatters the rock of my Tur,

When His Light shatters the rock of my Mount Tur,

Sends this minute Musa into a whirling of annihilation,

Sends this small Moses into a whirl of annihilation,

Then nothing is left but Hu, illa Hu, sirf Tu

Then nothing is left but Hu, only Hu, just You

When I know You will call me back to Your home again,
