We, unaccustomed to courage

We, not used to being brave

exiles from delight

outcasts from happiness

live coiled in shells of loneliness

live wrapped in shells of loneliness

until love leaves its high holy temple

until love leaves its sacred place

and comes into our sight

to liberate us into life.
