Presence of light, a gift like the moon
Heart immersed in the goodness of vision
Make the body aware too
Look at this broken lover
The light of time still remains
But the heart is still pointless

Explanation

This poem delves into the themes of spiritual enlightenment and the existential struggle of the heart. The poet uses the metaphor of light, often associated with divine presence or enlightenment, to describe a blessing akin to the moon's glow. The heart, absorbed in the goodness of sight, suggests a deep emotional or spiritual experience. The poet calls for the body to also become aware, indicating a desire for holistic enlightenment. The mention of a 'broken lover' evokes a sense of longing and vulnerability. Despite the passage of time, symbolized by 'the light of time,' the heart remains 'useless,' suggesting an ongoing internal struggle or dissatisfaction. The poem captures the essence of Urdu poetry's focus on deep emotional and spiritual introspection.
