इक हुनर है जो कर गया हूँ मैं सब के दिल से उतर गया हूँ मैं

I have a talent I have fallen out of everyone's favor

कैसे अपनी हँसी को ज़ब्त करूँ सुन रहा हूँ कि घर गया हूँ मैं

How can I hold back my laughter I hear I've gone home

क्या बताऊँ कि मर नहीं पाता जीते-जी जब से मर गया हूँ मैं

What can I say, I can't die Since I've been alive, I've felt dead

अब है बस अपना सामना दर-पेश हर किसी से गुज़र गया हूँ मैं

Now I only face myself I've moved past everyone

वही नाज़-ओ-अदा वही ग़म्ज़े सर-ब-सर आप पर गया हूँ मैं

The same grace, the same allure I've completely fallen for you

अजब इल्ज़ाम हूँ ज़माने का कि यहाँ सब के सर गया हूँ मैं

A strange accusation from the world That I've gone over everyone's head

कभी खुद तक पहुँच नहीं पाया जब कि वाँ उम्र भर गया हूँ मैं

I never reached myself Even though I spent my whole life there

तुम से जानाँ मिला हूँ जिस दिन से बे-तरह ख़ुद से डर गया हूँ मैं

Since the day I met you, my love I've been terribly afraid of myself

कू-ए-जानाँ में सोग बरपा है कि अचानक सुधर गया हूँ मैं
