I will come back.I Will Come Back

I will come back. Ella-May.

You will throw me out like A hound unwanted, And leave me in the dark, crooked land, But I will come back.

You will toss my leash into The bushes, wild, And tell me to hurry off now, But I will come back.

You will climb into your car And drive far, far away from me, While I howl your name, But I will come back.

You will wake in the middle of the night, At the sound of scratching, And the muttered pleas and cries, Because I will come back.

You will see me in the shadow, Hunched and scowling, Feverish at the mouth, Because I came back.
