O Master of my spirit,
My friend on the journey,
Ruler of my heart,
Show me
Show me where my Mount Tur is,
On Mount Tur I will meet You,
My light,
O Beloved, I yearn to be one with You,
You are the master of my spirit, let me dissolve in You,
Like sugar dissolving in hot coffee,
Reviving the spirit,
Let me spin and spin,
Destroy myself,
Merge into You,
This Love slowly consumes me,
Yet like a drunken lover, I desire more,
You are the light of the Universe,
You are the energy in my bones,
Drunk on the Wine of Love, I speak foolish words,
Yet my every thought, my every aim is You,
O Divine Light,
Shine on me,
Let me fall apart, become dust
Before You,
A humble servant I am Yours,
A Master of the spirit You are mine,
Light and Mount Tur,
One me and You,
Light and Mount Tur,
You met Moses at Sinai,
You met the Beloved at Hira,
You enchanted the world with Your Love,
Every creature dances in Your praise,
What am I without You,
Just a useless rock craving Your presence,
Shine Your Light on me,
Free me from worldly chains,
Light and Mount Tur,
Light and Mount Tur,
What is the purpose of life,
Besides servitude,
If You are not in life,
Under whose shadow do I seek refuge?,
What is greater than You?,
The entire universe is in Your hands,
Every particle follows Your command,
I am just a poet,
My words too are Your glory,
Light and Mount Tur, Light and Mount Tur,
Worldly people drink small wines for pleasure,
But Your lovers are intoxicated only by Your love,
You showed Moses Majesty,
You showed Your Beloved Mercy,
Both became Your servants,
The Light You bestowed upon them, bestow upon us,
As You kept Rumi, Mansour, Jilani,
Keep us close to You,
Light and Mount Tur, Light and Mount Tur
When the Beloved, my only True Friend is present,
When His Light shatters the rock of my Mount Tur,
Sends this small Moses into a whirl of annihilation,
Then nothing is left but Hu, only Hu, just You
Light and Mount Tur, Light and Mount Tur,
A humble servant I am Yours, A Master of the spirit You are mine,
One me and You,
Light and Mount Tur,
O Lovers, who will know our pains,
Who will break our chains,
They do not know, slaves of the self
To destroy oneself,
To be one with the Beloved,
Do not remind me of worldly matters
I want to forget,
To become dust,
Before the Beloved
I want to be nothing,
To drink Your Love Wine,
Is the greatest pleasure,
The most bitter test,
To be both mad and saint,
You are my target,
I am Your traveler,
You are my companion,
Only You and me,
Light and Mount Tur,
Light and Mount Tur, Light and Mount Tur,
A humble servant I am Yours, A Master of the spirit You are mine,
One me and You,
Light and Mount Tur,
Artistically, like a fortress You fortified the Mountains
In their caves You gave Your lovers solitude,
When Moses became lost in Divine Love lost in Your Light,
The rocks atop turned to dust by Your grandeur,
This world is an illusion,
Humanity knows nothing but intrusion,
Some look for You on Hira or Mount Tur,
some look for You in temples and churches,
some worship You in idols thinking they are You,
Thinking they have impact or use,
The true lovers know that You are found throughout the Universe,
True Lovers know Your throne to be in the Heart,
You are the Beloved for all those drunk in Love,
Found in beauty from the Heavens to the Earth,
Even though to me You seem distant,
You rule my soul and are mentioned in my heartbeats,
Your beauty follows me like a shadow of light,
There is nothing,
There is nothing,
There is nothing,
Not even me, Just You,
Light and Mount Tur, Light and Mount Tur,
A humble servant I am Yours,
A Master of the spirit You are mine,
One me and You,
Light and Mount Tur,
How small and insignificant I am before You,
Yours is infinity,
The universe is Your endless canvas,
We float upon it like rocks swimming on the ocean,
What am I without You,
Light and Mount Tur,
O you who seeks true love,
Listen to sagas and wise words of the aged,
Spin around your heart as you rotate around the Kaaba,
In love was the Kaaba built by Khalil,
The Divine Love within your heart is also real,
Built in for you by the Divine,
A temple to always remember the Beloved,
In the drunkenness of Love’s wine,
The ignorant throw accusations at me,
Calling me one who rejects signs,
The poet speaks nothing but the love of the Most Loving,
Found has he a treasure,
Not found in average mines,
The wise are not those who read a tower of books,
But those who can read between the lines,
Between the English, Urdu, Turkish, Farsi and Arabic,
They hear the language of the Eternal Truth,
Drawing them to His designs,
Why must I mourn separation,
Why must I say goodbye,
Nowhere can the lover go without the Beloved being there,
Did Moses ever forget that fateful day on Sinai,
Did Your most loved Beloved ever forget Your message in Hira,
In the mountain’s eye,
Why must I fear separation then,
When I know You will call me back to Your home again,
Light and Mount Tur, Light and Mount Tur,
Only You and me,
Light and Mount Tur,
A humble servant I am Yours, a Master of the spirit You are mine,
Light and Mount Tur, Light and Mount Tur,
Just me and You,
Light and Mount Tur.
