Should I Have Let You Know?Should I Have Let You Know

Original Poetry

Should I Have Let You Know?

Should I let you know That I don't want to like you? That I'm fully convinced that SHE was my ONE— I know.

Should I let you know That I'm at crossroads— Who should I follow? The devil I know or the angel I don't?

Should I let you know That fear drives how I handle you? Mistakes can't happen again; they mustn't!

Should I let you know That I'm not insensitive, just scared? That if I acted fully the way I felt, our future—marred.

So I came and left, Came again and left again. I forgot that love doesn't consider itself.

You were my safe space. I thought you knew. And now that's gone. Or should I have let you know?

Translation

Should I let you know

That I don't want to like you? That I'm fully convinced that SHE was my ONE— I know. Should I let you know

That I'm at a crossroads— Who should I follow? The devil I know or the angel I don't? Should I let you know

That fear drives how I handle you? Mistakes can't happen again; they mustn't! Should I let you know

That I'm not insensitive, just scared? That if I acted fully the way I felt, our future—marred. So I came and left,

Came again and left again. I forgot that love doesn't consider itself. You were my safe space.

I thought you knew. And now that's gone. Or should I have let you know?
