Psalm of Parliamentarian by Sehloho Piet Rampai
Psalm of Parliamentarian by Sehloho Piet Rampai zamantungwa | March 30th, 2009 | poetry | No Comments The state is my Shepherd, I shall not want; It makes me lie down in a subsidized house It leads me into political tranquility; It restores my faith in a lucrative future. It leads me into paths of BEE and pensions, For its international reputations sake Even though I walk through the valley Of the shadow of corruption I will fear no scorpions For the state is with me, its police and troops Comfort me. It preserves for me a bank account, in the presence Of devaluation. It fills my pockets with allowances, my salary Overflows. Surely increments and promotion shall follow Me, all the days of my life And I shall dwell in senior staff quarters forever. Viva.
Psalm of Parliamentarian by Sehloho Piet Rampai zamantungwa | March 30th, 2009 | poetry | No Comments The government is my guide, I shall not desire; It makes me rest in a supported house It leads me into political calmness; It restores my trust in a profitable future. It leads me into paths of Black Economic Empowerment and retirement funds, For its international image's sake Even though I walk through the low area Of the darkness of dishonesty I will fear no dangerous creatures For the government is with me, its law enforcement and soldiers Ease me. It keeps safe for me a financial account, in the presence Of reduction in value. It makes full my small bags with payments, my wage Spills over. Surely increases and advancement shall follow Me, all the days of my life And I shall live in staff living spaces for all time. Long live.
