When beauty grows too great to bear

Now while I watch the dreaming sea With isles like flowers against her breast, Only one voice in all the world Could give me rest.

When beauty becomes too much to handle How can I relieve its pain, For beauty, more than sadness, Breaks the heart.
Now as I watch the calm sea With islands like flowers on her chest, Only one voice in the world Could bring me peace.
