I cannot bear to leave you when the sun is visiting
I cannot bear to leave you when the sun is visiting But I will return when the moon is at home. A tiring day fading away; I unwind leaving my worries beneath my feet As I step into softness with ease, My body climbs into the velvet peaks Exhaling linen and cool air, My warmth spilled all over the sheets But your body absorbs it faster When you are lying next to me I doze off into the next cloud, Dreading the light Hoping the shadows never leave.
I can't stand to leave you when the sun is here But I'll come back when the moon is out. A long day is ending; I relax and leave my worries behind As I step into comfort easily, My body climbs into soft peaks Breathing in linen and cool air, My warmth spreads over the sheets But you soak it up faster When you're next to me I drift off into sleep, Fearing the morning Hoping the night stays forever.
