¡no volverán!
¡no volverán!
¡no te querrán!
The dark swallows will come back To hang their nests on your balcony, And once more, with their wings at the windows, They will playfully call.
But those that paused their flight To admire your beauty and my happiness, Those that learned our names... Those... will not come back!
The dense honeysuckles will return To climb the walls of your garden, And once more, in the afternoon, even more beautiful, Their flowers will bloom.
But those covered with dew Whose drops we watched tremble And fall like tears of the day... Those... will not come back!
Words of love will return to your ears To sound with fiery passion, Your heart from its deep slumber Might awaken.
But silent and absorbed and on your knees As one worships God before His altar, As I have loved you..., don't be fooled, They... will not love you so!
