*A Nameless God*
He steps into the traffic. Cheap neon bleeds across his eyes— one foot, then the next. He drifts past glass and concrete, blind to the crushing crowd.
A slave in hidden shackles, yet in his mind, a gazelle hunts the lions. He mistakes isolation for solace, his refusal to bend for royalty.
Back in the quiet, he sits beneath a crown of air. He waits for the verdict of his life— gemstone, or a shell among sand. The nameless god whispers a lie.
A nameless deity or force.
He walks into the busy street. Bright neon lights blur his vision— he moves one foot after the other. He floats past buildings and glass, unaware of the overwhelming crowd.
A prisoner with unseen chains, but in his thoughts, he is a gazelle chasing after lions. He confuses loneliness with comfort, his stubbornness with nobility.
In silence, he remains seated under a canopy of air. He anticipates the judgment of his life— a precious gem, or just a shell in the sand. The nameless deity tells him a falsehood.
