আমার যা মনে হয়-
What I feel is—
তুমি ব্রাহ্মণ আর আমি শূদ্র
You are a Brahmin and I am a Shudra
আমার দিকে তাকালেও যে অধর্মের শামিল!
Even looking at me is considered a sin!
তাই উপেক্ষায় বাধ্য হয়েছ তুমি।
So you are forced to ignore me.
আমিও আর তোমার নজর চাই না
I no longer want your attention
কথা চাই না,স্পর্শ চাই না।
I don't want words, I don't want touch.
খোদার দয়ার ব্যাপারে নিরাশ হতে নেই।
One should not despair of God's mercy.
তবে আমি সত্যিই চাই না
But I truly do not want
খোদা আমাকে এই দয়া করুন
God to grant me the mercy
যে আমি তোমাকে পেয়ে যাই।
That I should get you.
বিশ্বাস করো সত্যিই চাই না।
Believe me, I truly do not want it.
আমিও জানি একটা ভিক্ষুক কেও
I also know that even a beggar
উপেক্ষা করতে অনেক ইতস্তত বোধ হয়।
Feels hesitant to ignore.
আমি ও আর তোমার ইতস্তত বোধের কারণ হবো না।
I will no longer be the cause of your hesitation.
আমি চলে যাচ্ছি,তুমি যদি চাও
I am leaving, if you want
এই খুশিতে রাজভোজের আয়োজন করো!
Celebrate with a feast in this happiness!
যা মনে হয়-
What I feel is—
একদিন যদি তুমি বাড়িতে থাকো,
One day if you are at home,
হঠাৎ মসজিদের মাইকে আওয়াজ
Suddenly from the mosque's microphone
শুনবে,আমি চলে গেছি পরপাড়ে!
You will hear, I have gone to the other side!
সেদিন হয়ত তুমি একটু কষ্টের আচ
That day perhaps you will feel a bit of pain
অনুভব করবে।
Or you will dance in joy
কিংবা প্রফুল্ল চিত্তে মেতে উঠবে আনন্দ নৃত্যে!
with a cheerful heart!
