আমি দূর আকাশের পানে চেয়ে দিন পার করে যাই, তুমি আসো নি তো উড়ে উড়ে অজানা পরীর বেশে! এ কটা সময় মাহামারী যন্ত্রনার মহাভারত, আমি বৃথাই বোধ হয় তোমায় দেখার আশে! তুমি আকাশ পানে চেয়ে দেখো তারারূপে আমি আছি, হালকা করে মনের অভিমান দেখো হয় কিনা উপকার! তুমি নিঠুর হতে পারো ভালো দু-এক পাতার দুখে, আমি অপরাপর দুঃখ সয়েও তবু পাইনি অধিকার!
Translation (English)
I gaze at the faraway sky
and pass my days,
You haven't come flying
like an unknown fairy!
These are pandemic times,
a great tale of suffering,
I feel it's pointless
hoping to see you!
You look at the sky
and see me as a star,
Ease your mind's grievances
and see if it helps!
You can be harsh
in the sorrow of a few pages,
I endure other sorrows
but still haven't earned the right!
